A free leaflet of walks along public footpaths within our boundary is available from the council office or library upon request.
A new leaflet produced to help visitors and residents alike discover the unseen areas of Kingsteignton and learn some of the history that makes it unique.
Free copies of the booklet opposite are available from the Library, the Council Offices & Newton Abbot Tourist Information Office.
We ask all dog walkers to have respect for other path users, by keeping dogs on a lead, under control and pick up the dogs mess in a bag and then placing it in the nearest public authority bin provided. It doesn’t have to be a dog waste bin.
There are many public footpaths in parks and open spaces within Kingsteignton. You can even walk your dog to Newton Abbot, by going through Hackney Marshes, off Greenhill Way, along the rear of the racecourse which ends at the Town Quay, Newton Abbot. Please be advised that a (PSPO), Public Space Protection Order applies to the shared path on the route mentioned above.
Please be aware of other people using the path so that everyone can enjoy this route safely.
Keep dogs on a lead and under control in line with our current Dog Public Space Protection Order.
Cycle at a safe speed.
Keep an eye out for other users.
